Books - MediHealth Academy Official Web Site

MediHealth Academy Book Publications is currently seeking to have its books indexed in the Web of Science Book Citation Index (BKCI). In order to meet the criteria for inclusion, it is essential that submitted works comply with the following standards:

Book Type and Format

The Web of Science BKCI evaluation process accepts only scientific monographs and academic reviews. Textbooks, popular science publications, encyclopedias, catalogs, and albums are excluded from this category. The submission must include the ISBN, title, name of the editor/author, publisher, and publication year. Additionally, the publisher’s physical address must be clearly indicated, and full-text access (either digital or printed) to the book must be provided.

Originality and Plagiarism

A primary requirement for submission is the presentation of original scientific content. The book should not contain repetitive or plagiarized elements and must be based on original research or extensive literature reviews. The maximum allowable plagiarism rate is set at 20%, and a plagiarism report generated using iThenticate or similar software must be submitted for each chapter included in the application.

Editor and Author Qualifications

The academic credentials of both editors and authors are a crucial factor in the book’s acceptance for indexing. Editors should be nationally and internationally recognized and have prior experience as editors of articles, book chapters, or other academic publications within the scope of the World Standard (WoS). The authors' areas of expertise should be directly relevant to the book’s objectives and scope. The application must include the names, titles, affiliations, contact information, brief biographies, and ORCID IDs (if applicable) of all authors and editors.

Preface and Introduction

The preface or introduction must clearly outline the book's purpose, scope, primary research question, methodology, and scientific contributions. This section should provide explanations regarding the aims of the editor and authors, the methods and arguments employed, and the results obtained. There should be a cohesive alignment between the book’s title, its content structure, and the chapters.

Internal Structure and Chapters

The submission should feature a comprehensive and well-organized internal structure. The table of contents, preface, editor’s page, list of authors, and title page must all be included in the application.

Bibliography and Citation Format

It is essential that the sources referenced in the work are current, clear, and verifiable. Each chapter must contain an adequate number of citations, and digital access links (such as DOIs) should be provided wherever possible. The bibliography should adhere to international standards to ensure the academic reliability and traceability of the book.
